Dr Willie Visser is the Head of Dermatology at the University of Stellenbosch, Tygerberg Academic Hospital.

Dr. Visser earned his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch and completed both his M.Fam.Med and MMed (Dermatology) at the University of the Free State in South Africa. He is the current treasurer of the Dermatological Society of South Africa (DSSA). Dr Visser has a passion for medical education and teaching. He has authored several publications and book chapters. His research focuses on inflammatory skin diseases and skin cancer, especially in patients with skin of colour. He has delivered lectures locally and internationally. He is actively involved in a number of community projects and provides consulting services to peripheral hospitals and clinics.

Dr Suretha Kannenberg is a consultant dermatologist at the division of Dermatology at the University of Stellenbosch, Tygerberg Academic Hospital. She also has a private practice in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

She earned her medical degree (MBChB) and Masters degree in Dermatology (MMed Dermatology) cum laude from the University of Stellenbosch.

Dr Kannenberg serves on the executive committees of the Dermatological Society of South Africa (DSSA), African Women's Dermatologic Society (AWDS) and the Vitiligo Society of South Africa (VSSA).

She has authored a number of publications and book chapters and features regularly in the media in public awareness campaigns. She gives lectures locally and internationally on topics close to her heart. These include atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, acne vulgaris and paediatric dermatology. She is actively involved in a number of community projects in South Africa and spearheads patient support `groups` in atopic eczema and vitiligo.

Professor Carol Hlela serves as the Head of the Department of Paediatric Dermatology at the Red Cross Children's Hospital. Professor Carol Hlela is a highly qualified Dermatologist with a distinguished career focused on paediatric skincare. She holds a MBChB and FcDerm from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford, and a Master of Medicine (MMed Derm) in Dermatology from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, as well as a Master of Science (MSc GHS) in Global Health Science (University of Oxford). She also holds a Paediatric Dermatology Fellowship obtained from Robert and Anne Lurie Children's Hospital, in Chicago, US. She is widely published, contributing to the field of paediatric dermatology, and actively supervises postgraduate students. She has dedicated her practice to the wellbeing of children with skin conditions, with extensive experience managing.

Professor Rannakoe Lehloenya, commonly referred to as Ranks, is the Head of Dermatology and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Cape Town. His main interests include cutaneous adverse drug reactions, pigmentary disorders, and the anthropology of human perception of looks.
